Hi Mado, I have one student in particular who could really use all these great tips and tricks. She has not complained about her wrists, but I always see her ‘flicking’ them whenever we are in a wrist stressing pose for a while. I want to address her needs, but I’m nervous about how and when to speak with her directly? Thanks for the help.
Hi Valarie – you can weave some information about the wrists into class generally so that you are not singling her out and you can also talk to her before or after class. Mention that you notice that it seems like her wrists are hurting her during class and that you would like to help. I understand being nervous, but remember that your students look up to you and will likely be thrilled to have you address their needs personally. Good luck!
