So now you know how to evaluate and choose a teacher training that is right for you, but you don’t know where to begin looking.

Ask around.  Word of mouth is the best way to find a good training.  If there is a yoga teacher whose classes you like, ask where he or she did their training and if they recommend any others.

In order to help you in your search, I have compiled a list of resources to look for your teacher training.   Please let me know if any of my links are out of date.

The Yoga Journal Directory
You can specify your zip code and search for nearby teacher trainings.  However, you will only find the ones who have advertised with Yoga Journal, often these are the bigger and more profitable trainings who can afford to do so.  If you are looking for something smaller and more affordable, don’t stop here, keep looking.

Yoga Site Teacher Training Directory
Divided into states, but not searchable.

YogaFinder.com Teacher Training Directory
The awful colors on this site hurt my eyes, but they claim to be the largest yoga directory on the internet.  Searchable by country, but not state.

Finally, I hope you’ll include the yoga teacher training that I am a part of in your consideration as it is the only one I can personally vouch for.  I am honored to be on staff for the Asheville Community Yoga teacher trainings.  Please feel free to contact me with any questions about this particular training.
